A collection of imagery of plants, trees and wild areas arranged in order to explore such things as the spirits, perfection, symmetry, pattern and magic of the natural world. The images appear to encourage the notion that our world, especially that which may be considered the natural world, is not a random and disorderly place but a light-filled, kaleidoscopic and dreamy scenario, sometimes frightening, often beautiful. Illusory in themselves, the series also brings to attention the highly pervasive illusion of separation from nature. Human-like, animal-like and spirit-like forms appear in many instances- revealing humankind’s deep integration into and with the world of plants, environments, the planet and the cosmos. |
